Supply Planning - Functional

Training Description

This workshop focuses on the functional aspects of the o9 Supply Planning Reference Product. The workshop will provide insights into navigation around the o9 Platform (specifically, the Supply Planning Reference Model), a domain overview of Supply Planning, an overview of the Master Planning processes, and running through functional user stories for various Planners in the Supply Planning space.

Prerequisite

The participants must be familiar with the supply chain domain, the o9 Platform, and its features. Additionally, the participant must complete the following prerequisites:

• o9 IBP Functional Workshop
• o9 Platform Technical Basics Workshop

Relevant Exam

Participants of this workshop are encouraged to take the “Functional Insights into Supply Planning Core Solution Building Blocks” course on o9 Academy. Upon completing the course and passing the exam, participants will earn the badge and certificate

• Understand the building blocks of the o9 Supply Planning solution.
• Navigate the functional workflows within the o9 Platform to address specific operational scenarios.
• Analyse exceptions for enhanced operational performance.
• Interpret basic reports to extract meaningful insights from the platform.

• Confidently navigate the o9 platform and independently perform core Supply Planning workflows across relevant workspaces, views, and reports.
• Identify, analyse, and respond to operational exceptions using available alerts, diagnostics, and recommended resolution steps.
• Apply a structured, data-driven approach while reviewing demand, supply, inventory, capacity, and procurement planning scenarios.
• Interpret key planning outputs and platform insights to support informed functional decision-making.
• Execute standardized Supply Planning workflows by following recommended best practices, planning sequences, and governance guidelines in the o9 environment.
• Communicate planning issues and decisions effectively using common Supply Planning terminology across demand, supply, procurement, manufacturing, and deployment teams.
• Translate business scenarios into platform actions by selecting the appropriate workflow, reviewing relevant inputs, and taking suitable planning actions.
